Mitosis is a cell division that is usually happens in non-sex cells or somatic cells like the stomach cells.

It has 5 stages: Prophase, Prometaphase, Metaphase, Anaphase, and Telophase. During Prophase, chromosomes are doubled (92). In Prometaphase, the chromosomes are being moved by the kinetochore and microtubules. During the Metaphase, the sister chromatids are aligned at the metaphase plate. During Anaphase, the chromosomes are separated towards each pole. The number of chromosomes will be divided 46 on each pole. During Telophase, the chromosomes are going to be enveloped by the nucleus. At the end of mitosis, each daughter cell will be having 46 chromosomes.

ANSWER: The new stomach cells will have 46 chromosomes.
