Step 1

Write an expression for the area of sector


Area\text{ (A) = }(\theta)/(360)*\pi* r^2

Where

θ = 52°

π = 3.14

r = 8cm

Step 2

Find the area of the sector after substitution of values into the formula above.


\begin{gathered} A\text{ =}(52)/(360)*3.14*8^2 \\ A=29.028cm^2 \end{gathered}

To the nearest tenth the area of the shaded sector of circle C = 29.0cm²
