A 3-foot indoor children's slide must meet the ground very gradually and make an angle of 155º,What are the height of the slide (y) and the length of the floor it will cover (2)? (It’s number 20)

1) Since the angle of the slide when it reaches the ground is supplementary we can state that:

2) Now we can use trigonometric functions to find the height of the slide, and length of the floor.

For the height of the slide

sin(25º)= y/3

0.422 = y/3 Multiplying by 3 on both sides

y=1.27 feet

3) Let's find the x, i.e. length of the floor

cos(25º) =x/3

0.906 = x/3

x=2.72 feet approximately
