First, We define a heterogeneous mixture:

It's a mixture in which the composition is not uniform throughout the mixture. It consists of two or more phases.

Soda with Ice, e.g. Coke with ice is a good choice, they form a heterogeneous mixture, they are in two distinct phases of matter (Ice is solid, Coke is liquid).

We have here 2 components and when we put them for example into a glass, we can look at the different phases formed.

Number of components: 2 (soda and ice)

Phases: 2 ( one solid and another one liquid)

Pizza is made up of different ingredients, which are each separate component. We consider it as a heterogeneous mixture because of that, and those components form different phases.

Number of components: we have many here. It depends on what you used to make the pizza up.

Phases: we have many phases, but mainly solid and liquid phases.
