Explanation:

The formula for a triangle is 1/2 * b * h

Count the units for the base of the triangle - 7

Count the units for the height - 3

Use formula: 1/2 * 7 * 3

= 10.5

Note: When countung the units, count the sides you definitely know the units for. If you use any other areas of the triangle as the base, you'll end up getting a height that isn't very exact.
