Clue is a board game in which you must deuce three details surrounding a murder. In the original game of clue the guilty person can be chosen from six people, and there are six different possible weapons and nine possible rooms. At one point in the game you have narrowed the possibilities down to 2 people, 4 weapons,and 7 rooms. What is the probability of making a random guess of the guilty person, murder weapon, and location from your narrowed down choices and the guess being correct? Enter a fraction or round your answer to four decimal places if necessary

Solution:

Given:

\begin{gathered} Total\text{ people}=6 \\ Total\text{ weapons}=6 \\ Total\text{ rooms}=9 \end{gathered}

Narrowed-down possibilities are;

\begin{gathered} people=2 \\ weapons=4 \\ rooms=7 \end{gathered}

For the guess to be correct,

\begin{gathered} Probability=(2)/(6)*(4)/(6)*(7)/(9) \\ Probability=(14)/(81) \\ \\ To\text{ four decimal places,} \\ P(person,weapon,location)=0.1728 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the answer is
