[ ] Measurement and conversion (d=rt)Mick drove the 1 mile distance to his place of work at 30 mph. If Mick wanted to average 60 mph on his round trip, (home to work and then back home) how fast would he have to travel on his way home? (The answer is not 90 mph)

Given that the average speed from home to office to home is 60 mph.

Speed from home to office,

S_1=30\text{ mph}

Let the formula for average speed is

\begin{gathered} \text{Average sp}eed=(S_1* S_2)/(2)_{} \\ 60=(30* S_2)/(2) \\ 30* S_2=60*2 \\ 30* S_2=120 \\ S_2=(120)/(30) \\ S_2=40 \end{gathered}

Hence the speed he took from office to home is 40 mph.
