\begin{gathered} (PB)^2=PA*PC \\ 6^2=3*PC \\ 36=3*PC \\ (36)/(3)=PC \\ PC=12 \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} AC=PC-PA \\ AC=12-3 \\ AC=9 \end{gathered}
