Answer:

y =
(5)/(2) x + 4

Explanation:

I am not sure what form or the line you want, but most of the time it is the slope intercept form. There is more than one way to find this.

For the slope intercept form of the line, I need a slope and a y-intercept. They gave us the slope, we just have to find the y -intercept.

slope =
(5)/(2)

x = -2 I am going to use the x and y from the point given to find b

y = -1

y = mx + b

-1 =
(5)/(2) ( -2) + b

-1 = -5 + b Add 5 to both sides

4 = b

y = mx + b

y =
(5)/(2) x+ 4

Answer:

y= 5/2x+4

Explanation:

point slope formula is y=mx+b

here we have the slope which is what m represents so now we have

y=5/2x+b. A slope of 5/2 means that for every 2 x-values to the right, you move 5 y-values up, so if we move 2 units to the right from (-2,-1) you'll end up on (0,4), which is our y-intercept which is what b represents so now we have y=5/2x+4
