area of the trapezoid

A=(B+b)/(2)\cdot h

then find the height:

\begin{gathered} 10.9=(4.8+2.2)/(2)h \\ 10.9=(7)/(2)h \\ 10.9*(2)/(7)=(2)/(7)*(7)/(2)h \\ h=(21.8)/(7) \\ h=3.1 \end{gathered}

answer: height = 3.1 in
