SOLUTION

Step 1 :

In this question, we are meant to use the net, to get the formula for the Surface Area of the Cylinder.

We have that the Radius of the Cylinder = 2 cm

And the height = 4 cm

Step 2 :

Using the Surface Area of the Cylinder :


\text{Surface Area of the Cylinder = 2 }\pi r^2\text{ + 2}\pi rh


=2\text{ }(3.14)(2)^2\text{ + 2 ( 3. 14 ) ( 2) ( 4 )}
\begin{gathered} =\text{ 25. 12 + 50 . 24} \\ =75.36cm^2 \end{gathered}
