Answer:

Solution given:

x+4y=8.......[1]

since slope intercept form is:

y=mx+c where m=slope and c=constant

making equation 1 in slope intercept form:

x+4y=8

4y=8-x

y=
(-x+8)/(4)

y=-¼x+2

comparing above equation with y=mx+c we get

m=-¼

So slope is -¼.
