II. The positive square root of a number is smaller than the number.

III. A binomial multiplied by a binomial yields a trinomial.

For statement I:

Root of negative cannot be negative.

for statemenet II:

Yes, the square root of positive number is less than number.

But square root of fraction is greater than number.

For statement III:

A binomial multiplied by a binomial doesnot yields a trinomial

Hence, option d is correct.
