The graphs of f(x) and g(x) intersect at the point (2, -1). The intersection point is the exact point in which you have the situation:

-(3)/(2)x+2=3x-10

So, it's not necessary to try and solve this equation. The x-value that makes it true is x =2.

I'll substitute in the equation:

\begin{gathered} -(3)/(2)\cdot2+2=3^(2)-10 \\ -3+2=9-10 \\ -1=-1 \end{gathered}

As you can see above, the affirmation is true.

Answer: x=2
