1.6 AP-11 Question Help Hot air balloons generally descend at a rate of 200 to 400 feet per minute. Four balloons descend 200 feet per minute for 9 minutes. Find the total change in altitude for all 4 balloons.

To find out the total change in altitude, multiply 200 ft per minute by 9 minutes

so


200(9)=1,800\text{ ft}

This is the total change of altitude of one ballon

so

multiply by 4
