Given: The figure shown

To Determine: The value of EF

Solution

Using intersecting chord theorem that describes a relation of the four line segments created by two intersecting chords within a circle. It states that the products of the lengths of the line segments on each chord are equal.

Applying the theorem to the given would give us

CD* DP=EF* FP

Therefore

\begin{gathered} 11cm*9cm=EF*10cm \\ 99cm^2=EF*10cm \\ EF=(99cm^2)/(10cm) \\ EF=9.9cm \end{gathered}

2. Let us label the the image given
