The funtion given is

(6)/(8)<(x+4)/(4)<(28)/(4)

but if a < u < b, then a < u and u < b

\begin{gathered} (6)/(8)<(x+4)/(4) \\ (3)/(4)<(x+4)/(4) \\ 3-1 \end{gathered}

and

\begin{gathered} (x+4)/(4)<(28)/(4) \\ x+4<28 \\ x<28-4 \\ x<24 \end{gathered}

let's combine the intervals at this stage andmerge the overlapping intervals

-1the interval notation can be represented as[tex](-1,24)

From the calculations above the interval notation of the function is given as (-1, 24)
