A circle with a radius of 10 inches has a central angle of 45 degrees. What is the length of the arc?

(5\pi)/(2)\quad in

1) We can find the length of the arc by setting the formula:


\begin{gathered} Arc\:length:(45)/(360)*2\pi(10) \\ \\ (20\pi )/(8) \\ \\ (5\pi)/(2)\:inches\quad \end{gathered}

Note that the length of that arc is a portion of the whole circumference.
