Finding a function based on a table

We have that the values shown correspond to consecutive values of x: -1, 0, 1, 2, 3. The values of the corresponding f(x) are:

the first value shown is 100

the second is 50

the third is 25

...

We know that 50% represents the half of a value.

Since 50 is the half of 100, then it is 50% of 100

Since 25 is the half of 50, then it is the 50% of 50

Since 12.5 is the half of 25, then it is the 50% of 25

Since 6.25 is the half of 12.5, then it is the 50% of 12.5

Then, as x goes up (-1, 0, 1, 2,...) , then y goes down (100, 50, 25, 12.5, ...), then y decreases, and as we observed, it decrease by 50%.

Answer: D. the value of y is deacreasing by 50%
