On a linear function, equal changes on x must correspond to equal changes on y.

Analyze each table to find if it corresponds to a linear function.

A)

Notice that the values of x increase by 3 units except for the last row where it increases by 6 units. The values of y increase by 2 units each row except for the last row, where it does by 4 units. Since these changes are proportional, then this table corresponds to a linear function.

B)

Notice that y always increases by 3 units but x sometimes increases by 3 and sometimes by 2. Then, this is not a linear function.

C)

Notice that y always decreases by 4 but x does not always increase by the same quantity, Then, this is not a linear function.

D)

Notice that y always decreases by 5 but x increase by different quantities. Then, this is not a linear function.

Therefore, the answer is:

A
