consider the equation (2),

consider the equation (1) and multiply with 2,

`2x+2y=6\ldots(4)`

now consider the equation (3) and (4) and subract them,

`\begin{gathered} 2x+2y=-7 \\ -2x-2y=-6 \\ --------- \\ 0=-13 \end{gathered}`

The equation is false.

Therefore the system of the equation has no solution.
