Solve for x in the following:2x/3 + 1/4 = x/6 - 1/2

2x/3 + 1/4 = x/6 - 1/2​

Then separate x terms

2x/3 - x/6 = -1/4 - 1/2

Multiply and divide by2 , 2x /3

4x/6 - x/6 = -1/4 - 1/2

Multiply and divide by 2, -1/2

Then

4x/6 - x/6 = -1/4 - 2/4

. 3x/6 = -3/4

. x = -6/4

. = -3/2

Then here we have answer is

x = -3/2 = -1.5
