theater and she bought $25.50 worth of bags of
popcorn and candies. Each bag of popcorn costs
$6 and each candy costs $4.50. She bought a
total of 5 bags of popcorn and candies altogether.
Determine the number of bags of popcorn and
the number of candies that Lillian bought.

Answer: you would need to buy 2 bags of popcorn and 3 bags of candies

Explanation:

you would need to buy 2 bags of popcorn and 3 bags of candies because you would have to have a .50 at the total amount, so the answers for the bags of candy could be 5, or 3, or 1. It couldn't be 5 because it is a total of candy AND bags of popcorn, and it couldn't be 1 because 4*6= 24, so it would have to be 3 bags of candy, and 3+2=5 so there would have to be 2 bags of popcorn
