simply move the 26 and 14y over to the other side of the equation making sure that you flip the signs on both

We have: 8x=26+14y

Standard form is in format of ax + by = c

where a, b, c are numbers.

All you have to do is subtract 14y from both sides of the equation.

8x - 14y = 26

This can also be reduced since each term has a common factor of 2

4x - 7y = 13
