Need help with a geometry problem. it is a scalene triangle with a parallel line through it which is x+1. the base is going to be 3x-2 and is parallel with x+1. on the right of x+1 there should be 12 at the top then 20 will split it . I need to solve for x

\begin{gathered} \Rightarrow(12)/(x+1)=(32)/(3x-2) \\ \Rightarrow12(3x-2)=32(x+1) \\ 36x-24=32x+32 \\ 36x-32x=32_{}+24 \\ 4x=56 \\ x=14 \end{gathered}
