The diameter of the truck = 24 in

And the wheels are turning at 455 rpm

The linear speed = v = ω * r

Where ω is the angular speed

ω = (2 π n)/60

n = 455 rpm

ω = (2 π n)/60 = ( 2 π * 455 )/60 = (91/6) π

r = 0.5 * diameter = 0.5 * 24 in = 12 in

so, the speed = (91/6) π * 12 in = 182 π in/sec

Now convert in/sec to miles/hour

1 miles = 63,360 inches

1 hour = 60 minutes = 60*60 seconds = 3600 seconds

so,

1 mile/hour =63,360/3600 = 17.6 in/sec

So, 182 π in/sec =

(182\pi)/(17.6)=10.34\pi\text{ miles/hour = 10.34}\cdot3.14\text{ =32.47 miles/hours}

With out simplifications:

The answer is 10.34 pi
