TortIlse A walks 61.0 feet per hour and tortoise B walks 12 Inches per minute. Which tortolse travels faster? Complete the explanation. If I convert the rate of tortolse A to the same units as the rate of tortolse B, tortoise A travels Inches per minute and tortoise B travels 12 Inches per minute. Recall that 1 foot = 12 inches

Therefore, since tortoise A walks at a speed of 61 feet per hour, we need to convert this to inches per minute

1 foot = 12 inches

61 feet = "x" inches

By cross- multiplying we have:

x = 61 * 12

= 732 inches

Thus, 61 feet per hour becomes

61\text{ feet / hour = }(732)/(60)\text{ inches per minute = 12.2 inches per minute}

Since Tortoise A now walks at a speed of 12.2 inches per minute, we can say that tortoise A travels faster than tortoise B
