\begin{gathered} f(n)=n^3+5n \\ g(n)=2n-3 \end{gathered}

To find f(2) substitute n by 2 in f(n)

f(2)=2^3+5(2)

Let us find its value

\begin{gathered} f(2)=8+10 \\ f(2)=18 \end{gathered}

To find g(2) substitute n by 2 in g(2)

g(2)=2(2)-3

Let us find its value

\begin{gathered} g(2)=4-3 \\ g(2)=1 \end{gathered}

Now let us add f(2) and g(2)

\begin{gathered} f(2)+g(2)=18+1 \\ f(2)+g(2)=19 \end{gathered}
