The part of the graph that represents the solution set of a linear inequality will depend on said set.

Is the solution set is of the form


x>a

then the part above the line will represent the solution in the graph.

Whereas, if the solution set is of the form

[tex]xthe the part below the line will represent the solution in the graph.
