The table gives a set of outcomes and their probabilities. Let A be the event "the outcome is divisible by 7". Find P(A). Outcome Probability 1 0.2 2. 0.09 3 0.08 4 0.02 5 0.29 6 0.04 7 0.07 00 0.21

Since the number 7 is a prime number, it is only divisible by 1 and itself. Then, the probability of event A is given by

p(A)=p(1)+p(7)

where p(1) is the probability for outcome 1 and p(7) is the probability for outcome 7.

Then, we get

\begin{gathered} p(A)=0.2+0.07 \\ p(A)=0.27 \end{gathered}

that is, the answer is p(A)=0.27
