To calculate the volume of any cylinder you have to multiply the area of the base circle by the height of the cylinder

V=A\cdot h

The area of the circle is calculated as the multiplication between the number pi and the square of the radius

A=\pi r^2

So, you can express the formula for the volume of the cylinder as follows:

\begin{gathered} V=A\cdot h \\ V=\pi r^2h \end{gathered}

Where

V is the volume

π is the number pi, normally we use 3.14 instead of the whole number.

h is the height of the cylinder

r is the radius.

For the first cylinder, the radius is r=6cm and the height is 2.5cm, you can calculate the volume as follows:

\begin{gathered} V=(3.14)\cdot(6)^2\cdot(2.5) \\ V=3.14\cdot36\cdot2.5 \\ V=282.6\operatorname{cm}^3 \end{gathered}

The volume of this cylinder is 282.6 cm³
