We have the function

y=-(3)^x

The y-intercept ocurrs at x=0, that is,

y=-(3)^0=-1

then, the y-intercept point is (0,-1).

Now, lets give some values at the variable x and get y.

- When x= -1, we have

y=-(3)^(-1)=-(1)/(3)

so we get point (-1, -1/3)

- When x= 0 we obtained y=-1. The point was (0,-1)

-When x=1, we have

y=-3

- When x=2, we have

y=-(3)^2=-9

- When x=3, we have

y=-(3)^3=-27

All these result can be summarized in the following table:

The graph associated to our table is:

4. Graph the following function. y = - (3) Begin with the y intercept, then fill in-example-1
4. Graph the following function. y = - (3) Begin with the y intercept, then fill in-example-2
