3m+8+m=36

To find the value of m that makes the equations true you ned to solve for m, as follow:

1. Add similar terms (similar terms are those with the same variable inthis case m) (3m+m=4m)

4m+8=36

2. Substract 8 in both sides of the equation:

\begin{gathered} 4m+8-8=36-8 \\ 4m=28 \end{gathered}

3. Divide both sides of the equation into 4:

\begin{gathered} (4m)/(4)=(28)/(4) \\ \\ m=7 \end{gathered}

4. Prove the solution you get m=7 in the equation.
