We have that for 2 dozen muffins, we need 600g of flor. We also know that each dozen has 12 muffins, then we have the following relation:

24\text{ muffins }\rightarrow600g

To find out how many muffins we can make with 900g of flour, we can use a rule of three:

\begin{gathered} 24\text{ muffins}\rightarrow600g \\ x\text{ muffins}\rightarrow900g \\ \Rightarrow x=(900\cdot24)/(600)=(21600)/(600)=36 \\ x=36 \end{gathered}

therefore, with 900g of flour we can make 36 muffins, or 36/12= 3 dozens.
