The area of a trapezoid is given by the formula:

\begin{gathered} A=(1)/(2)(a+b)h \\ a\colon long\text{ base} \\ b\colon\text{short base} \\ h\colon\text{ height} \end{gathered}
A=400mm^2;\text{ a=}36mm,\text{ b=14}mm

Thus, we have:

\begin{gathered} 400=(1)/(2)(36+14)h \\ 400=(1)/(2)(50)h \\ 400=25h \\ (400)/(25)=h \\ h=16mm \end{gathered}

Hence, the height of the trapezoid is 16mm
