The formula to calculate the distance between two points is equal to


d=\sqrt[]{(y2-y1)^2+(x2-x1)^2}

Find out the coordinates of point Q and point L

Looking at the graph

Q is (5,3) and L is (8,5)

substitute the given values in the formula


\begin{gathered} d=\sqrt[]{(5-3)^2+(8-5)^2} \\ d=\sqrt[]{(2)^2+(3)^2} \\ d_(QL)=\sqrt[]{13\text{ units}} \end{gathered}
