Informative nonfiction:

- It is a straight forward (straight to the point) kind of writing style in which the author has no connection to the topic of interest and can express such without bias. Informative nonfiction is usually used to teach the reader something new without swaying their opinions one way or the other with persuasion.

Explanitory: (or expository)

- a writing style that aims to explain the topic to the reader. Whether it be a person, place, idea, and so on.

(You can correct me if i'm wrong, but personally i'd like to think that informative is backed up by more data, detail, or examples whereas explanitory is more likely to be biased)
