On the last day of a Shakespeare class, an English teacher asked her students which play they liked most. Out of the 15 students who have submitted responses so far, 5 liked Much Ado About Nothing best. What is the experimental probability that the next student to respond likes Much Ado About Nothing best? Simplify your answer and write it as a fraction or whole number. A. P(Much Ado About Nothing) = 1/3 B. P(Much Ado About Nothing) = 1/4 C. P(Much Ado About Nothing) = 1/2 D. P(Much Ado About Nothing) = 5/8

The experimental probability is:

P=(5)/(15)=(1)/(3)

this comes from the fact that we used what we know so far to calculated, then we make the quotient between the number of times the event has occured and the total number of trials.

Therefore the answer is A.
