\begin{gathered} a)f=5a-8 \\ b)G=2f+25 \end{gathered}

c)Number of counties Florida has: 67

Number of counties Georgia has: 159

Step-by-step explanation

Step 1

set the equations

let a represents the number of counties in Arizona

let f represents the number of counties florida

so

a)Florida has 8 less than 5 times the number of counes a,in arizona

f=5a-8\rightarrow equation(1)

b) Georgia has 25 more than twice the number of counties f in florida, in other words, you have to add 25 to twice (f) to obtain the number of counties ofr Georgia

G=2f+25

Step 2

c)

Arizona has 15 counties

so

a=15

replace in equation (1) to find f

\begin{gathered} f=5a-8\rightarrow equation(1) \\ f=5(15)-8=67 \\ \end{gathered}

hence,

Number of counties Florida has: 67

now, replace in equation (2) to find G

\begin{gathered} G=2f+25 \\ G=2(67)+25 \\ G=159 \end{gathered}

hence,

Number of counties Georgia has: 159

I hope this helps you
