since the perimeter is 50, we have that

2w+2(3w-7)=50
8w=50+14=64

then w=8

then the widht of the rectangle is 8 and the lenghth is 3(8)-7=17

and the area is 8(17)=136

The length of a rectangle is 7 less than 3 times its width. The perimeter of the rectangle-example-1
