Stress can have a negative impact on your mental health in general. Stress is a adrenaline, cortisol or Norepinephrine. Released when your brain feels overwhelmed. Stress can cause your whole mind to shut down and cause you to go on a “autopilot” situation. The negative impacts it can have are caring less about things, forgetting important things and retaining the things you don’t need to know. It can also cause you to feel as if you don’t have any options when you have plenty of more. Overall stress is bound to have negative impacts. The only time stress can be positive is when you know you’ll be rewarded for the stress you’re put through. I.e. jobs, games, and even learning !

Answer:

WHEN it becomes overwhelming and prolonged, the risks for mental health problems and medical problems increase. Long-term stress increases the risk of mental health problems such as anxiety and depression, substance use problems, pain and bodily complaints such as muscle tension.
