Describing (Audio Recorder Activity)


Write 3-5 complete sentences describing each person (yourself and 2 other individuals) in Spanish. Using your computer’s audio recording device, record your descriptions and upload the audio file when you submit the activity to be graded. Your teacher will be looking for the following in your response:


Correct form of the verbs: tener (to have) and ser (to be)

Feminine and masculine forms of adjectives

A variety of vocabulary from the lessons

Connecting words such as y (and), o (or), pero (but)

Correct pronunciation (you can practice pronunciation using the audio button next to vocabulary in the tutorials)

Explanation: You might need to change this up a little bit when you are writing. But here are some things to help and a template you can follow.

Tengo ? anos. (I am _ years old)

Tengo ? ojos y ? pelo. (I have ? eyes and ? hair. Blonde- rubia, brown- morena)

Vivo en ? (I live in ?) Put your city/state in the blank.

For describing other people, you want to say feminine and masculine words.

Tiene anos ? (They are ? years old)

Same thing as yours, but

Tienes? ojos y ? pelo. (Whatever color eyes and hair they have)

Viven en ? (They live in ? ) Whatever city/state they live in.

So, for example, a template of what you should say should be

Tengo 16 años. Tengo los ojos marrones y el pelo castaño. Vivo en Texas. Katie tiene 17 años. Tiene ojos marrones y pelo rubia. Vive en Texas. Brian tiene 17 años. Tiene ojos azules y pelo marrón. Vive en Texas.

This translates to:

I am 16 years old. I have brown eyes and brown hair. I live in Texas. Katie is 17 years old. She has brown eyes and blonde hair. She lives in Texas. Brian is 17 years old. He has blue eyes and brown hair. He lives in Texas.
