We have the next equation

y=x^2+3

First we will calculate the x- coordinate of the vertex with the next formula

x=-(b)/(2a)

in this case a=1 (constant of the quadratic term) b=0 (constant of the linear term )

x=-(0)/(2(1))=0

then we substitute the value of x in the equation given in order to find the value of the y-coordinate of the vertex

y=0^2+3=3

the vertex is (0,3)

as we can see in the graph of the equation
