Solution

We have the following equation:

(x+2)^2+(y^2)/((1)/(4))=1

And we can rewrite the expression like this:

((x+2)^2)/(1)+(y^2)/((1)/(4))=1

then the major axis would be given by:

\sqrt[]{1}=1

1 (Horizontal axis)
