The area of a rectangle garden is given by the trinomial x^2+2x-48. What are the possible dimensions of the rectangle? Use factoring.

x^2 + 2x - 48 = (x + 8) (x - 6)

x1 = -8

x2 = 6

b) x^2 + 2x - 8

(x +4 )(x -2)
