Then,

Apply above formula into the given poit

So,


\begin{gathered} \lvert8,12\rvert=\sqrt[]{8^2+12^2} \\ =\sqrt[]{64^{}+144^{}} \\ =\sqrt[]{208} \end{gathered}

Hence, the magnitude of the given point is shown below:


\sqrt[]{208}=4\sqrt[]{13}
