We will have the following:

f(x) = 44(1.4)^x presents a growth of 40%.

f(x) = 46(1.04)^x presents a growth of 4%.

f(x) = 104(0.96)^x presents a decay of 4%.

f(x) = 40(0.86)^x presents a decay of 14%.

f(x) = 8(1.14)^x presents a growth of 14%.

f(x) = 74(0.6)^x presents a decay of 40%.

***

We determine the decay or growth percentage by looking at the function of the form:

f(x)=(1-r)^x

Here if (1 - r) is smaller than 1, then it will represent decay, and we will determine the decay percentage as follows:

d=(1-(1-r))\cdot100

If (1 - r) is greater than 1, then it will represent growth and we will determine the growth percentage as follows:

g=((1-r)-1)\cdot100
