To find the next term of a geometric sequence, the previous term is multiplied by the common ratio r.


\begin{gathered} r=(1)/(2) \\ a_(1=)20 \\ a_2=20*(1)/(2)=10 \\ a_3=10*(1)/(2)=5 \\ a_4=5*(1)/(2)=(5)/(2) \\ a_5=(5)/(2)*(1)/(2)=(5)/(4) \end{gathered}
