Assuming the unicorn is a diploid organism, it must have 800 chromosomes. Diploid organisms have twice chromosomes as they have in their gamete cells. Noteworthy, this chromosomes in its regular body cells (somatic cells) will not be visible, they will be diffuse in its chromatin stage. Chromosomes are only visible when the cell reproduces itself.
