Given two points on a line, we can find its equation by using the formula below

\begin{gathered} (x_1,y_1),(x_2,y_2) \\ y-y_1=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)(x-x_1) \end{gathered}

Therefore, in our case, since the line goes through (-1,2) and (0,5),

\begin{gathered} y-2=(5-2)/(0-(-1))(x-(-1)) \\ \Rightarrow y-2=3(x+1) \end{gathered}

Thus the answers are

Equation: y-2=3(x+1)

Slope: 3

Point: (-1,2)quation: y=3x+5
